Standard Procedure

The Recovery Stage procedure is as follows:

Failure Analysis:
The cause of failure is identified to accurately assess the recovery technique required and recovery time objectives (RTO).

Quotation Process:
Based on an accurate assessment of the failure and damage, DR Specialists can accurately assess the costs involved to recover the data. The focus is to accommodate the customer's recovery needs and time, and offer free consultation during this process to reduce costs where possible.

Recovery Process:
Upon approval to commence the recovery, the lab manager will co-ordinate with our various labs. Our DR specialists will then perform all required functions to recover your data successfully.

Data Validation and Integrity check:
Our specialists will validate that all data that has been recovered can be read and has been transferred to a secondary storage media of your choice.

Priority Service

The company offers a 24 hour priority service. This service is specifically designed to perform any critical recovery in the shortest time objective, and to commence the recovery with immediate effect.

The priority service is only performed by our most experienced DR specialists, on any device from memory sticks to high-end RAID or SAN setups.

Pricing Policy

Each Recovery is based entirely on the merits of the failure and device being recovered. Below is our standard pricing policy.

- Operational Time: 8:00 to 18:00
- Free Failure Analysis
- Under most circumstances 3 - 12 hours required to determine recovery feasibility and cause of failure
- No quote rejection fee
- Standard turnaround: 40 to 72 hours
- Success rate: 91.7 % (Audited)
- Non-disclosure agreements are available on request

Priority Recovery

- Immediate Diagnostic and Failure Analysis
- Recovery time objective from 2 hours (based on failure and data volume)
- Priority Service Fee: (24 Hours, 365 Days / Non Refundable / Excl. VAT)
- R3500 Mon - Thursday
- R4500 Friday - Sunday

RAID Recovery

RAID recoveries are unique, as every RAID card (Hardware) or software RAID has a unique way of striping (writing) data to the drives and writing trace signatures.

Due to every RAID system being unique and intensive pre-planning required, as well as access to a substantial knowledge base, in order to ensure that the correct algorithms and data recovery applications are setup, the company charges a non-refundable R 750.00 (Excl. Vat) RAID setup fee.
